Rev. Beatrix Weil is delighted to serve as Chaplain of Rhodes College. She grew up on Long Island in New York but most recently moved from South Carolina. Chaplain Beatrix attended the University of Notre Dame where she majored in Management Consulting and Psychology. After graduation, she attended Princeton Theological Seminary and graduated with the Master of Divinity degree and the Certificate in Theology, Women, and Gender in 2017. She was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in July of the same year. Chaplain Beatrix has served at a hospital, a high school, religious organizations of various denominations, and three colleges. She is committed to extending hospitality to Rhodes College students of every background--religious and non-religious alike. Chaplain Beatrix is a “safe zone,” which means she is trained in supporting people of the LGBTQIA+ community. She would love to meet with you in her office, over tea, on the basketball court, or out on campus for a walk! Follow the Chaplain's Office on Instagram @Rhodes_Chaplain.
